Funeral services for Casper resident Zelma Chrisman will be held Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11:00 am with a viewing/meet the family from 10-10:45 am prior to the funeral at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Wolf Creek Chapel located at 3931 West 45th Street in Casper. She passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 in Casper, Wyoming. Born March 19, 1931 in Vernal, Utah. She was the 7th child of Perry and Rowena Johnson. She was raised and educated in Vernal, Utah. She was married in 1947. To this union were born two sons, Jay and Dan. She was later married on Oct. 1, 1957 to Leonard Chrisman. To this union was born one daughter, Malinda. She is survived by her two sons, Jay (Sharon) Curfew and Dan (Loree) Curfew both of Casper, her daughter Malinda (Merrill) Harris of Taber, Alberta Canada, 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren , 5 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Perry and Rowena Johnson, husband of 49 years, Leonard Chrisman, 4 sisters, Lorna, Afton, Jenny and Valesca her twin sister, 2 brothers, Clifton and Broad, 1 grandson, Jason Harris, a special angel friend, Ray Boadus and many other dear relatives and friends. Zelma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In her younger years, Zelma loved to sing and had a lovely singing voice. She enjoyed singing in the church choir. She also enjoyed crochet and other types of decorative handwork. She was a friend to many and made people around her feel important and loved. She was genuinely interested in people and their lives. Prior to her passing she was a resident at Shepherd of the Valley Care Center and had many angels caring for her there. She and her family would like to express thanks to all those who in any way made her life better. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery.
