Services for William G. (Bill) DeWitt will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the First Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Bustard's Funeral Home. There will be no graveside services. William G. (Bill) DeWitt, 82, of Casper, passed away November 27, 2010 at home after a lengthy illness. Bill was born April 13, 1928 in Mills, Nebraska, the son of Clinton and Mary DeWitt. Bill was married to June Kelsey October 8, 1950 in Casper. They celebrated their 60th anniversary this year. Bill served in the US Army from 1946 to 1951. He was a long time auto mechanic and started in his own business, DeWitt's Gas Ranch with his son in 1967. In 1969 they opened DeWitt's Automotive. Bill had the business until he retired in 2005. He was a long time member of the Nazarene Church. Survivors include his wife, June, one son, Calvin of Oklahoma, and four sisters, Nancy Doros of Webster, MA, Stella Lofink of Casper, Edna Avery of Casper, Mary Fern Rhodus of Clinton, UT, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death. Bill loved his family and devoted his life to them. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding snowmobiles, almost anything outdoors and in the mountains. He loved working on vehicles and helping others. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to either Amedisys Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
