William Wood

William N. "Bill" Wood of Guernsey, Wyoming, passed away October, 18, 2010 after an extended illness. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Bustard's Funeral Home. Bill was born April 20, 1922 in Guernsey where he was raised and educated. He served in the Army during World War II and was honorably discharged. After his discharge, he moved to Rawlins, Wyoming where he married Elizabeth Margaret Cummings on August 18, 1946. From this union, they raised three children. A Wyoming native, Bill enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and later in life, golf. He was a huge Denver Bronco and Colorado Rockies Fan. After the death of his beloved wife "Margie" in 1987, he returned to Guernsey, where he enjoyed the last years of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife and three siblings, Jack, Dorothy and Frank. He is survived by his children, Patricia (Vince) Gargiulo and William (Bill, Jr.) both of Mills, WY and Robert (Bob) (Bertha Tracy) of Rawlins, WY. He is also survived by two grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a very special friend, Nelli Johnson of Guernsey.
