William A. "Bill" Peterson, Sr. died peacefully at Wyoming Medical Center on March 4, 2016. He was 88 years old. Bill was born November 13, 1927 in Casper, Wyoming as the older of two sons of Gertrude and Albert Peterson. After graduating from Natrona County High School, Bill worked as a butcher at Safeway, where he met and married his wife of 64 years, Marjorie. He served in the army during WWII. Upon discharge, he took a job with the Burlington Railroad, before being hired at Amoco Oil refinery where he worked for over thirty years before retiring in 1983. Bill was a member of the Oddfellows, the Meadowlarks, the Red Dog Players and Highland Park Church. In addition he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, bowling, singing, playing cards, watching sports, and reading. He is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie (Chaffin) Peterson his parents, Gertrude and Albert Peterson, and his brother Charles R. "Bob" Peterson. He is survived by his children-- Penny Eutsler of Gillette, WY; William "Bill" (Lari) Peterson, Jr. of Fairview, OR; and Susan (Jonathan) Weiss of Vacaville, CA. In addition he is survived by his grandchildren Harold and Christopher Eutsler, Jeffery and Timothy Peterson, Aubrey Patterson, and Amy and Rebecca Weiss along with numerous great grand children. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Casper Senior Citizens' Center, at 1831 E. 4th Street, Casper, WY, 82601.
