William Holden

Memorial services for William C. Holden will be held Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Bustard's Funeral Home. Cremation has been held. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery, Evansville, Wyoming. William "Bill" Carl Holden was born December 7, 1942 in Shelbyville, Tennessee, the son of Goodman and Margaret Holden. Mr. Holden passed away of natural causes on May 26, 2010 at his home in the arms of his family. He lived his younger years in San Angelo, TX. He then joined the army where he was a flight medic and did two tours in the Vietnam War. After 15 years of serving his country, he returned to civilian life. He loved baseball and was an avid New York Yankee fan. Reading was one of his many interests as was hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Ellen, granddaughter, Taylor Holden, daughter, Margaret Ann Garcia (Martin), son, David Holden (Stephanie), both of San Antonio, Texas, daughter, Michelle Morgan (George), daughter, Brandi Van Winkle, both of Casper, brother, Kenneth Wayne Holden and sister Betty Holden, both of Shelbyville, TN, 4 nephews and 11 grandchildren.
