Wendy Rich

June 1, 1957 — September 26, 2010

Our beloved Wendy Kellch Rich returned to live with our Father in Heaven on September 26, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Wendy was born June 1, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Frank Kellch and LaRae Casper Kellch. She married her eternal soul-mate Tony, on January 12, 1979. Together they have four sons: Brandon, Jason, Daniel, all currently residing in Utah, and Matthew, who is currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in the California Riverside Mission, as well as three wonderful grandsons; Oakley, Holden and Cason. Wendy grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved with her family to Casper, Wyoming in 1970. She attended CY Junior High and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1975. She received her Associates Degree at Brigham Young University and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education through the University of Wyoming. She taught preschool at First Christian Preschool for 12 years, and substituted for the Natrona County School District while completing her Degree. Wendy touched the hearts of many students, faculty and parents while teaching at Paradise Valley Elementary school for the past six years. She loved teaching her students as well as the youth in her church, and truly was a teacher in all aspects of her life. Her greatest love and devotion was for her husband, children and grandchildren. Wendy loved water skiing, boating and being outdoors with her family. She was her son's biggest fan as they participated in sports and worked to earn their Eagle Scout Awards. Wendy dedicated her life to serving and helping others, she always went the extra mile to help those in need. Wendy was a faithful and dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She loved serving in the church and held various callings including: Primary President, Young Women's President, Relief Society, Visiting Teaching, and a Cub Scout Leader. She was preceded in death by, her mother LaRae Casper Kellch, and two brothers, Steve Kellch and Brian Kellch, and a nephew, Michael Kellch. Wendy is survived by her husband, Anthony Eugene Rich, and four sons, Brandon Rich (Brittani), Jason Rich, Daniel Rich (Kari), and Matthew Rich. Three grandsons, Oakley, Holden, and Cason Rich. Her father, Frank Kellch (Barbara), sister, Terri Plessman (Willie), brother Larry Kellch (Liz), and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Wolf Creek LDS Stake Center. Viewing will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery.
