Wayne Blair

Mr. Wayne R. Blair, of Casper, WY, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the age of 90. Born to parents Percy Blair and Edna Eikenberry on March 19, 1927 in Lusk, WY, Wayne grew up in Kaycee, and Lander WY with his brother Neal and sister Carol. He graduated high school at age 17, enlisted in the Navy, and was shipped overseas to fight in World War II. In 1948 he married Bonnielou Brooks and they were married 47 years. Friends and family remember Wayne as a rancher, hunter, horse whisperer and competitive bronc rider. He had a true sixth sense with animals, particularly horses. Through his travels and adventures he found himself in numerous situations where he helped save both animal and human life His faith was pivotal to his life. He was a faithful Christian who strove to do the will of God and to help anyone in need. Wayne is survived by his daughters Judi Hede, (Brett) of Casper, WY, Tracy Brown (Randy) of Los Angeles, grandchildren Jeff Hede, Danielle Brown, Aaron and Codi Blair, and step-grandchildren Nick and Adam. He is pre-deceased by his wife Bonnie and his son David.
