Warren J Long Sr. Warren returned to his maker peacefully on Friday May 5, 2017 surrounded by his family. Warren was born on October 10, 1922 in Rock Springs Montana. Warren leaves behind his wife Doris (Spady) Long, his wife of Fifty Six years, and children; Donna (Bill) Schirmer, Rick (Deb) Long, Terri Ortega, Lori (Bill) Howsden, Warren Jr. (Skeeter) (Michelle) Long, Michael Long, also Warren's sisters Marie Moorhouse and Marcella (John) Burton. Warren also leaves behind 17 grand children, 18 great grand children, 1 great-great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Warren has returned to heaven to be with his Father Jack Long and Mother Viola Baugatz, to again go fishing with his brothers Adam Heib, Pat (Jack) Wright, Mike (Ted) Wright, Jackie Coppin, Clifford Spracklin, and Sister Mable Welch who all preceded him in death. May all your fishing trips be good ones! Warren was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy and served during WWII as a Radioman First Class aboard The USS DUNLAP, USS KILTY, USS DIXIE (Flag Ship ComDesPAC), USS ELLET, and Naval Radio Station, Pearl Harbor. He was commendated with 8 Silver Stars (Astatica Pacifica), The America Arena, The American Defense, The World War II Victory Medal, The Good Conduct Medal (1 Silver Star) and Honorably Discharged on 1 March 1947. Warren loved to spend time with his children. He also spent lots of time with his grand kids and great grand kids, whom he loved dearly. They will all miss their grandpa and how he would make them all jump by saying "BOO" and "POW RIGHT IN THE KISSER" at unexpected moments or knuckle bumping and shaking hands. Warren loved cheering on his Utah Jazz and his Denver Bronco's. God Bless You Warren, Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Uncle, Grandfather and we will all see each other someday where those moments can be shared again.. Warren will be laid to rest at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, Wyoming.
