Warren Richard Carlson

Warren R. “Bounce” Carlson was born December 31, 1928 in Midwest, Wyoming to parents Arthur Raymond Carlson and Beryl Elizabeth Carlson. The family moved to Casper when he was 9 months old and he lived in Casper for the remainder of his life. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1947 where he was Student Body President. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1953 with a degree in Journalism. After graduation, he went to work for KVOC Radio. 

 He wore many hats in the business world, mostly in journalism and public relations. He worked on the staffs of 2 U.S. Senators (Cliff Hansen and Alan Simpson). He was the News Director of KTWO TV before joining the Marketing Department at First Interstate Bank. 

 Bounce was an avid golfer and lived his life as he played golf, always straight down the middle. 

 Bounce and Sharon Chase were married in 1956 and enjoyed the game of golf and many golf trips during their 68 years of marriage. They enjoyed many other trips with their children and grandchildren. Bounce was a good man; he was a kind, loving man who showed everyone respect; he knew no strangers and was loved by so many. 

 Bounce was also a good volunteer, working with his Church Trinity Lutheran, as a Sunday School teacher and was on the Board of Elders. He was President of Meals on Wheels and worked hard to raise funds for the first Central Wyoming Hospice Building. 

 Bounce was preceded in death by his parents and 3 older brothers. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, children Gail (Dale) Miles, of Dallesport, WA, Elizabeth Moore, and Donald (Kim) Carlson, all of Casper, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. 

 Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 1240 S Missouri Ave, Casper, Wyoming.
