Ward Flynn

Ward L. Flynn, 88, of Casper, Wyoming passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012. He was born on June 30, 1924 in Riverside, Iowa to Cora and Clair Flynn and married Donna J. Eaton on December 1, 1951 in Sinclair, Wyoming. Ward graduated from Riverside High School, Riverside, Iowa and served in both the United States Maritime Service and the United States Army from 1945 to 1947. He then attended and graduated from the Chillicothe Business College. Ward worked for Marathon Oil (formerly the Ohio Oil Company) for 33 years, retiring in 1985. He is survived by daughters Cynthia (Roger) Latta of Napoleon, Ohio and Sandra (Richard) Grady of Copperas Cove, Texas and is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Delbert and Clifford and his wife, Donna. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Lynn Williams officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens. Military rites will be accorded by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the Wyoming Army National Guard. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church and Central Wyoming Hospice.
