Wanda Stone

Wanda Jane (Aebischer) Stone age 77 of Casper passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 9th. She was preceded in death by her sons Wesley Stone and Sterling Stone. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Stone and her sister Rose Aebischer. Wanda was born on August 10, 1935 in Greybull, Wyoming where she grew up and worked for a short time as a telephone operator with Mountain Bell. While in high school, she met, dated (for three years), and married the love of her life, Ralph Stone of Byron, Wyoming on September 30, 1955. They married in Greybull and lived a short time in Lovell, Wyoming where their first son, Wesley was born. Ralph's job took the family to Billings, Montana and then to Wolf Point, Montana. In September of 1959, the family moved to and settled in Casper where their son Sterling was born in 1964. Wanda was devoted to her husband and sons and made all holidays festive and special. She loved animals of all kinds and she especially loved shopping for and picking out gifts for the special people in her life. She will be deeply missed and remain in our hearts forever. A graveside service will take place at Highland Cemetery on Wednesday, January 16th, at 2:00 p.m. with Todd von Gunten officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her honor may be made to Casper Humane Society.
