Wanda Jean Leeling, 88, 7/24/30 ~ 9/27/18 Wanda was born to John and Marguerite Wohlers on July 24th, 1930 in Alliance,Nebraska. She entered into eternal rest on September 27th 2018 in Casper, Wyoming. Wanda was raised on the family homestead outside Crawford, NE. She attended a one room country school through 8th grade and graduated from Crawford High School in 1948. She then attended Chadron College the summer after graduation and earned her teaching certificate. Wanda then taught rural school for several years in the Crawford area. Wanda married Gordon Leeling on August 5,1951 in Crawford. They resided first in Igloo, S.D. then Edgemont, S.D. Gordon and Wanda had two children ,Carol Ann and David. Wanda did substitute teaching in Edgemont. When the Igloo Army Depot closed in 1964 Gordon and Wanda moved their family to Seminoe Dam Wyoming. In 1968 they relocated to Casper where Wanda resided until her passing. Wanda has been an active member at First Christian Church for the past 50 years. She was a member of the choir, women's group and the fellowship quilters. In her spare time she taught Brazilian embroidery in her home. Wanda is survived by her brothers Merton (Betty) Wohlers of Clearwater, Fl. Eldon (Janett) Wohlers of Crawford, NE. Children, Carol Ann (Lee) McVicker of Camarillo, CA. and son David (Ruth) Leeling of Casper, Wyoming . Also nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great grandson, arriving in November and numerous nieces and nephews. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Gordon in 1984. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the First Christian Church in Casper with Rev. Cynthia Dobson McBride officiating.
