In Loving Memory of Wally Clark

Wally Clark, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2023, in Casper, Wyoming. Born and raised in the heart of Wyoming, Wally's love for his home state and especially the city of Casper was as deep as the roots of the majestic mountains that surrounded him.

Wally's life was marked by patriotism and service. After graduating from Natrona County High School in 1962, he enlisted in the Navy, proudly serving his country with honor and dedication. His time in the Navy instilled in him a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence that he carried with him throughout his life. Wally's love for Wyoming extended beyond its borders, as he eagerly devoured any information about his beloved state, always eager to share its rich history and natural beauty with anyone who would listen.

When he returned to civilian life, Wally pursued his passions with unwavering enthusiasm. He was a dedicated fan of the New York Yankees and the Denver Broncos. In his younger years you would find him playing baseball and then fast pitch softball. Later in life he loved spending time on the golf course and even achieved the elusive hole in one! He loved watching his NC Mustangs on the football field and could be found at the T-Birds gym cheering on the basketball team!  He found constant joy in the victories and camaraderie of sports.

Wally's greatest joy in life was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Gayle, who stood by his side for 54 years, through thick and thin, sharing in his adventures and supporting him in every endeavor. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Tami {Keith} Warren, Michelle {Jeremy} Stricker, and Mark {Audrey} Clark. Wally's grandchildren, Keeley, Keera, Luke and Dakota, filled him with an immense sense of pride. He is also survived by his 2 loving sisters, Nancy Clark and Judy Santoni.

He very much cared and loved all of nieces and nephews and big extended family, cherishing every moment spent with them.

Wally's career was as diverse as his interests. For many years, he served as a bar manager at The Colonial Lounge, regaling patrons with stories and laughter. His warm smile, sense of humor, and friendly demeanor made him a favorite among the community. Later in life, Wally found his calling as a maintenance engineer at Casper College, where he dedicated his time and skills to ensuring the smooth operation of the campus.

After retirement Wally and Gayle, were often found on the open road, exploring new places, visiting family, attending car shows, and watching any old black and white movies. Their shared love for adventure and exploration created memories that will be cherished for generations to come.

Wally will be remembered as a kind-hearted, funny, quick witted, generous, and spirited individual who brought joy to the lives of those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, who will forever carry his memory with them.

Wally is preceded in death by his father, Walter, mother, Zella, and brother John.
