Wade Atkinson

Wade Alan Atkinson, age 54, passed away on Tuesday, December 24,2013 at his home in Casper. He had bravely fought cancer for one year; and his family and friends are saddened to lose him. He was born on June 29, 1959, to Marilynn and Richard Atkinson in Ft. Worth, Texas. Wade married Starla K. Pannell on December 23, 1992, in Casper, WY. Together they shared many activities and hobbies; hunting, camping, 4-wheeling, restoration of old cars, and racing stock and muscle cars. He had a special gift of being able to fix just about anything. Wade also brought joy and smiles to the faces of others through his wonderful sense of humor, sharing stories and his enthusiasm for life and nature. He leaves behind his wife Starla, his mother Marilynn Atkinson (Mills), and three daughters - Natasha Elliott of Denver, CO; Stephanie (Nikki) and Eric Smith of Casper; and Stacey L. Atkinson of Casper; along with stepsons Stephen (Julie) Saint of Douglas, WY and Zackary (Katie) Saint of Casper, and ten wonderful grandchildren.. He is also survived by his sister Laurie Kihle (Ron) of Loveland, and three brothers - Mike Atkinson (Ann) of Boulder, CO; Danny Atkinson (Wendy) of Palmer, AK; and Wesley Atkinson (Sandy) of Casper, WY, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard D. Atkinson of Mills, WY, and his brother Kelly Atkinson of Glenrock, WY. Memorial Services for Mr. Wade A. Atkinson, 54, of Casper, WY will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Todd Ericson will officiate. During Wade's battle with cancer he was especially concerned for children with cancer, and memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O.
