W. Dennis Climer

Willard “Dennis” Climer passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones on March 11, 2023.

He was born on November 27, 1942, to Harry Willard and Ruby Marie (O’Dell) Climer in Springfield, Missouri.

He graduated from High School in Braymer, Missouri in 1960. He then went on to marry Mary Luann Peirce in 1961 and was blessed with twin daughters, Sherri and Terri, and a son, Jerry. He worked at Ford Motor Company in Kansas City, Missouri and he raised his family in Missouri until deciding to make a career move and taking the family to Wyoming in 1974. He then turned to construction and being an electrician.

Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was on a bowling league for several years. In his later years he enjoyed being part of the Shrine Booster Club and was always available for the fund raisers including the Annual Shrimp Feast and Crab Boil. He also got great pleasure in driving his little Shrine car in the parades.

If any of his children or grandchildren needed something constructed or repaired, Dennis was always available to make it a reality or get it fixed. At the time of his passing, he was helping his grandson Logan flip houses.

He is survived by his wife Mary, his children, Sherri (Jesse) Lafferty, Terri Coffman and Jerry (Pam) Climer. His grandchildren; Shane (Heidi) Walling, Nichole (David) Kaczorowski, Lindsey and Logan Coffman, Mark, Sam and Elizabeth Baumgartner. His great grandchildren Braydon (Robbin) Walling, Austin Wray, Kyler, Landin and Braeley Kaczorowski. Deegan and Dane Walling and Peyton Sutton and a very special great- great granddaughter Mavis Walling.

Also survived by his sister, Dixie Flamm, several nieces and nephews of Missouri, and friends of 60 years, Jim and Elaine Badger and their family of Casper.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Casper Shrine Club with a reception following.
