Virginia Bowen died Oct. 14, 2013, peacefully with family by her side following a lengthy illness. She was born July 26, 1942 in Oakland, Calif. to Wyona and Willie West. They moved to Torrington in 1949. She grew up in Lance Creek, Wyo. with her mother and step-father, John Overman, three brothers and two sisters. She attended Niobrara County High School and married Lloyd Adams. They had three daughters, Angela, Audrey and Arlene. She enjoyed bowling and was very proud to be a member of the 200 club. She loved the outdoors and went camping every chance she had. One of her favorite past times was to crochet. She would crochet the most amazing Afghans and beautiful snowflakes for the Christmas tree. She could grow any flower in her garden and her yard was always the best looking on the block. In 1972 she married the love of her life Ken Bowen. She worked side by side with him to start their business B-1 Industries in Casper. Ken took care of her heart and soul throughout their marriage. On Oct 14, 2013, she was just to tired to carry on. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and best friend, Ethel; two brothers, Bill and Jim; her grandson, Kenny; a nephew Brian and great niece, Jessica. She is survived by her husband, Ken; three daughters, Anglea Tschacher of Billings Mont., Audrey (Mike) Bay of Lovell and Arlene (Chip) Gallinger of Casper; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Lois( Richard) Ladwig of Manville; her brother, Don West of Lusk and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be at Bustards Funeral Home Thursday, Oct. 17th 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at Highland Cemetery Oct 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Bustard's Funeral Home
