Services for Vicki Hicks will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 20th, 2013 at Bustard's Funeral Home with Father Lucas of St. Anthony's Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be held at Highland Cemetery. Vicki died of natural causes in her home on December 13th, 2013. She was born September 4th, 1948 to John and Marie Owens of Casper. She lived the majority of her years in Casper. In her early years, Vicki was very creative and enjoyed making homemade crafts for her family and friends. Vicki loved to cook and bake for friends and family as well. She was also an avid bowler and was heavily involved with the organization that later became Habitat for Humanity. Later in life, family was paramount to Vicki and her life was exceptionally dedicated to love and fellowship with her family. Vicki married Jim Hicks in 1973, and later had a son, Mike. She was also a loving step-mother to Jim's other children, Laura and Robert. Vicki graduated from Natrona County High School in 1966, and attended Casper College from 1966 to 1968 as a Business major. Vicki was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Throughout her life in Casper, Vicki worked in a handful of diverse careers. Vicki worked for Briggs Realty and Appraisal as a Stenographer and bookkeeper. Vicki worked as an Office Manager for Farm Credit Services. Later Vicki worked as a Purchasing Agent for Office Max. Vicki was preceded in death by her father, John L. Owens, and beloved husband of 36 years, Jim Hicks. Vicki is survived by her mother, Marie A. Owens of Casper, and her sister, Terry (Gail) Brauchie of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her surviving children are Laura (Gath) Stone of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Robert (Cindy) Hicks of Advance, North Carolina, and Mike (Lynette) Hicks of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Surviving grandchildren include Seth and Ethan Stone of Oklahoma City, Nicole Patricelli and Josh Hicks of Casper, Brittany and Tala Hicks of Advance, and Erica Hicks of Colorado Springs. Surviving great-grandchildren are Gabbi Garris, Aydan and Braxton Butcher, Hunter and Harper Hicks, all of Casper. Donations to Meals on Wheels or Casper Humane Society would be greatly appreciate by the family.
