Vera M. Taylor November 6, 1927 - June 15, 2017 Vera May Taylor passed away on June 15, 2017 at the Wyoming Medical Center. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 9-5 p.m. at Bustard's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery June 23rd at 11:00 A.M. Vera was born on November 6, 1927 to John W. "Jack" and Laura A Omstead. She graduated from NCHS in 1945. She married Darwin B. Taylor on March 5, 1946 at the 1st United Methodist Church. Vera belonged to the Casper Rebekah Lodge #139 where she was a Past Noble Grand and belonged to the organization for 71 years. She was a past President of Casper Theta Rho Club #1. She also had been in her younger years a Sunday School teacher and a Cub Scout and Brownie leader. She was an avid bowler and secretary of the Standard Monday league for 22 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Darwin, parents, Jack and Laura Omstead, sister, Betty J. Gray and brother, William H. Omstead. Vera is survived by her 2 sons Robert A. Taylor (Dixie Wisdom) of Colorado Springs, CO., Keith W. Taylor (Jalane), and daughter Patricia A. Jensen both of Casper, Wyoming. Three grandchildren, Bryan Taylor (Liz), Becky Taylor and Matthew Taylor. Three step grandchildren, Tony West, Chris Jensen ( Sammie) and Megan Jensen. Two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Benjamin Taylor. Five step great-grandchildren Madison, Taygen and Scarlett Jensen, Carter and Kaden Valenzuela, sister-in-law Virgenia Omstead and numerous nieces and nephews. Vera loved the color red. In her honor, feel free to wear red. She will be smiling down on the all of us. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association of Wyoming, 2232 Dell Range Bldv., suite 220, Cheyenne, WY. 82009-4941.
