Funeral services for Vera Traub Cooper, 92, of Casper, WY will be held at 10:00 AM, on Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Anglican Church of the Resurrection; 342 South Grant Street, with Fr. Thomas Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Oregon Trail Veteran's Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Bustard's Funeral Home. Vera passed away June 26, 2015 surrounded by her family at her home in Casper, WY. Vera was born in York, PA to Walter H and Ruth Paul Traub. When she was only 9 years old the family moved to Omaha, NE where she went on to attend Business College. Vera worked for Mountain Bell as a service rep before she moved to Denver and became an airline stewardess for Continental Airlines. On June 11, 1955 she married Phillip H. Cooper in Omaha, NE by her father, Reverend Walter Traub. Together they raised three children. Vera was an active member of the Anglican Church of the Resurrection. She was a long-time member of Petroleum Wives Club and served as a volunteer at Wyoming Medical Center for many years. Vera enjoyed life to the fullest. She took great pride in her cooking skills, loved to play games with her family and grandchildren, enjoyed spending time at her Alcova Lake Cabin, liked to work crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She loved her Bible studies and all the precious women she came to know at Women in The Word. Surviving Vera are her children; Sara (Stan) McDowell of Lander, WY, Phillip Lee (Jill) Cooper of Casper, WY, and Ann (Jerome) Scholtz of Casper, WY as well as eleven grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In honor of Vera memorials may be made to the charity closest to your heart.
