Twilla L. Herrick passed away June 4, 2015 in Casper, Wyoming. Mrs. Herrick was born February 7, 1926 in Mills, Wyoming, the daughter of Arthur C. and Ethel V. Winkes. She attended schools in Mills and Casper, graduating from Natrona County High School in 1944. On March 17, 1946, she married Roy F. Herrick and they made their home in Casper. Mrs. Herrick was a secretary in Casper for nearly 50 years. She worked for many individuals and firms in Casper, including an architect, a consulting geologist, a lease broker, a CPA firm, an oil company, a bank, and in 1959, she began a career as a legal secretary with Lawrence E. Middaugh of the firm of Mahoney, Murphy and Middaugh, later becoming secretary to J. F. Mahoney. In 1971, she went to work for the True Companies as secretary to Harry Roberts, Mr. True's Administrative Assistant. In 1974 she transferred to the Law Department becoming secretary to R. Stanley Lowe, Chief Counsel. She retired in January, 1993. Following retirement, she volunteered at the Wyoming Medical Center, Interfaith, and the Western History Center of Casper College. She was also Treasurer of the Casper Mountain Forest Stewardship Association following its incorporation in 1982 until 2011. She was a member and active participant of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Casper. She enjoyed playing cards, growing roses, tending flower beds, and fishing with her sons at Alcova Lake. She is survived by one son, Dennis. R. Herrick, of Casper, brother Leon W. Winkes (Donna), of Sun City, Arizona, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1993, and her son, Lester, in 2007. Memorials to First Christian Church will be appreciated.
