Tonia M. Simmons (Skinner) was born 11-4-1943 to Jonas and Pearl Skinner in Worland, WY. She passed peacefully on Monday April 29, 2013. She was the second of four girls. In 1960, she married the love of her life since second grade, Jim Simmons. They had 3 children, Andy, Jo Ann, and Debbie. She had 4 grandchildren Mindy, Melanie, Rachel and Colby. Her great grandchildren were Rhea and Lyla. Her family was the light of her life. Everyone knew that she would have another bragging story to tell whenever they came around. Tonia and Jim were very active members of the Elks Lodge as it was known as their second home. She taught her family to always volunteer, get involved and help out no matter what. Some of her loves and hobbies were running around with her family, shopping, and collecting stamps and wind chimes. She is survived by "the troop"; husband Jim Simmons, son Andy Simmons (Patti) of North Dakota, daughters Jo Ann Stull (Wes) and Debbie Foreman of Casper. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Mindy Hughes (Ryan), Melanie Stull (Alex), Rachel Stull, and Colby Foreman; great-grandchildren, Rhea and Lyla Hughes. Sisters Adonna Williams of Georgia, Sue Smith (Larry) and Corky Alspach (Earl) of Casper as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jonas and Pearl Skinner and great-grandson, Isac Hughes. She is now able to "over love, never spoil" him like she did the rest of her family. In lieu of flowers her family would appreciate donations to the Elks National Foundation at elks.org/enf. Elks Lodge #1353. Services will be held at the Casper Elks Lodge #1353 on Friday May 3, 2013 at 10:00am in the downstairs dining room.
