Todd Callies

Todd Callies, 41, of Casper, Wyoming was taken from his family on July 25, 2013. Cremation has taken place. Todd, and his twin, Cindy, were born October 7, 1971, in Casper, Wyoming to Ohly & Carol Callies. Todd attended local schools throughout his childhood and was active in 4H for five years, raising rabbits, lambs and pigs, where he earned several awards. Todd was active in other sports including t-ball, football, softball and BMX. He also, attended DADC, Denver Auto & Diesel College where he received his master mechanic degree. At the time of his death, Todd was employed with Andreen Hunt as a lead man, where he had worked for the past eight years. Management would tell you that they could not have accomplished half the things their company has done without Todd's presence. In 1993, Todd married Cheryl McMackin, and together they had two children, Gage Christopher Callies, age 20, and Taylor Belle Callies, age 14. In early 2012, Todd reunited with his first love, Kim Judd, with whom he resided at the time of his death. Todd had a passion for the NHRA. During his employment with Mallory, a well-known ignition company, Todd became exposed to living on the race circuit, a lifestyle he came to love. While working for Mallory, Todd was able to fulfill a life-long dream of driving a top fuel funny car. He later became a mechanic for the Tolliver Racing Team. Todd enjoyed spending time with his children, family and friends. He also enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. One of his greatest passions was playing pool. As a member of Taylor Troubadour's, he was successful at winning several pool tournaments. Todd made friends easily, always had a smile on his face and never missed the opportunity to pass along a good joke. He was well known for what a compassionate man he was, especially when it came to his family and those he held closest. Todd is survived by his children, Gage and Taylor Callies of Casper, Wyoming; father and step-mother Ohly & Linda Callies of Casper; mother, Carol Summers of Casper; brothers, Fred (Tess) Callies of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Clinton (Lynn) Callies of Casper, Sydney "Dude" Summers of Casper, Carl (Erica) Summers of Ocala, Florida; Darrell (April) Summers of Glenrock, Wyoming and sisters, Debbie Stoneking (Charles Bryant) of Evansville, Wyoming, Dorinda Bechtell of Riverton, Wyoming, twin sister Cindy Antrim (Jim Berglund) of Midwest, Wyoming; numerous nieces and nephews and several cousins. Preceding Todd in death were his paternal and maternal grandparents, and Vinton "Buster" Summers, his step-father. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Restoration Church in Casper, Wyoming. In honor of Todd dress is casual. Memorials on behalf of Todd's children, Gage and Taylor, may be made at Reliant Federal Credit Union in Casper.
