Timothy James Mullen went home to be with the Lord on February 16th, 2016 at the age of 89. Timothy (Tim) was born April 18th, 1926 to Thomas Jasper Mullen and Freda Marie Van Gundy Mullen in Casper, Wyoming. He and his older brother Gene grew up in the oilfields of Midwest, Wyoming, where they enjoyed fishing and hunting. One of his most memorable Jobs growing up was spending a summer shepherding. Tim, along with his family moved to Casper when he started high school, during that time he worked in a bakery. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1945. He was employed With Texaco Refinery in 1948 & worked there for over 35 years, he was a member of the Carpenters Union and the Oil Workers Union. On August 23, 1949 he married Marya Jo Clark, they raised 2 sons and a daughter. Tim and Marya enjoyed 49 years together, till her passing in July of 1998. Tim was an avid coin collector, he took his collection seriously and kept immaculate documentation as to where and when he found his treasures. He was also proud of his Irish heritage, being second generation born in America, and was eager to tell jokes, stories or sing you a song. Tim never forgot a birthday of family or friends and always made sure to call them to sing happy birthday, he was a friend to many and had a big heart. Tim is survived by his sons, Charles (Toni) Mullen of Idaho Falls, ID, Steve Mullen of Shoshoni, WY, and his daughter Tara (Dana) Smith of Casper, WY; 12 grandchildren, Steven, Eric, Jennifer, Michael, Christopher, Ryan, Dawn, Lisa, Stephanie, Andrew, James, and Shadell; 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Catherine Mullin; 2 nieces & 2 nephews; and his very special friend Beverly Hood and her daughter Debbie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marya, and his brother, Joseph Eugene Mullin. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude & appreciation to Dr. Marjorie Wells and the Central Wyoming Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care of Tim during his illness. A memorial is planned on April 18th, Tim's 90th birthday, from 3:00 until 5:30 at the C'Mon Inn in Casper.
