Thomas Rodriguez

Our loving father Thomas J. Rodriguez was called Home into the arms of our Heavenly Father on February 27, 2015. Tom was born in Delta, CO on May 18, 1931. Growing up he worked various jobs until he enlisted in the United States Army. Tom served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. Tom was stationed in Alaska for a time and he helped build the Alaskan Pipeline. After proudly serving our country he began a long career in sales, including selling magazines, then became an insurance agent for Globe Life Insurance. In 1976 he accepted the position of Regional Manager of Reserve National Insurance bringing him to Casper, WY. In 1993 Tom retired and bought TJ's Bar & Grill, where his customers became his friends. Tom's charismatic charm instantly drew people to him. Tom was as selfless and hard working as any man could be. There was no end to what he would do for a person in need with no expectation of a payback; rather a pay it forward would do. He truly was a friend to all. Never one to shy away from work; some of Tom's fondest memories were of the times he was working. He loved to work with his Grandfather in the mountains herding sheep for months on end. Tom was right at home out in God's country; he loved to farm, camp and hunt and passed this on to his family. From the time Tom was a young boy he was passionate about boxing and along the way learned to like other sports like football but none as much as boxing. Tom was a multifaceted man with many loves, talents and interests but nothing was as close to his heart as his family. Tom was a strong role model, a loving dad and grandfather and a great provider. He lived his life to the fullest and left us with no regrets. We are better today because of the love he gave. Missing Tom here on earth are his children, Thomas Tracy (Michelle) Rodriguez of Salem, Oregon, Stephanie Brown of Casper, WY, and Rodney Rodriguez of Casper, grandchildren; Chriana (Joel) Clarson of Canada, Erin Rodriguez of Salem, George Michaels of Casper, Alex Rodriguez of Casper, Katie Morgan, of Salem, Great-grandchildren; Ryla Rae, and Cason Clarson, Marley Morgan, Brandon and Caleb Underwood, brothers; Richard, Ben, Paul, Randy, sisters; Carol, Rose, Becky, Jeannie, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Greeting Tom in Heaven will be his first wife; Lucille Arellano, his second wife; Sandra Griffin, his Granddaughter; Lindsay Underwood, His parents; Thomas and Leotina, Paternal grandpa; Joe and "Little" Grandma, Aunt Susie and Aunt Delphinia, Brothers; Tony and Robert, and Sisters; Annie, and Josephine. Funeral Mass for Thomas J. Rodriguez, 83, of Casper, WY will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father Fox officiating. A vigil will be held on Tuesday, March 3 at 7:00PM at Bustard's Funeral Home. Thomas passed away February 27, 2015 in Casper, WY.
