Thomas Porter

Memorial services for Thomas Alvin Porter will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Bustard's Funeral Home with Deacon Ed McCarthy officiating. Mr. Porter, 78, passed away July 19, 2015 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming. He was born February 11, 1937 in Riverton, Wyoming, the son of Eryl and Gladys (Griffin) Porter. He completed high school and worked as a petroleum engineer in the oilfields. He married Marget Schimpf in Casper on July 27, 1958. He was a member of the Old Fart Beer Association. Mr. Porter enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and gardening. He loved horses and enjoyed horseback riding. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Kelly) Glynn of Lake Havasu City, AZ , son, Gene Porter of Mills, daughter, Debbie (Pat) Mosteller of Mills, sister, Pat Piel of Riverton and brother, Jim Porter of Elko, NV. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, and 4 grandchildren. Memorial Contributions may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice.
