Thomas L. (Tom) Chapman, born February 10, 1943, joined our Heavenly Father on January 9, 2011 in Casper, Wyoming. Tom was born in Fostoria, Ohio to Huston E. B. Chapman, II and Minnie Marie (Harghberger) Chapman. Tom, the third of four boys, graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1961. He maintained contact with several friends through the years and cherished each and every one of them. Tom served his country in the United States Navy from 1961 - 1965 in Communications and Intelligence. He served in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Morocco, Northwest Africa and Scotland. He always wanted to return to Scotland. As an amateur paleontologist, Tom enjoyed history, looking for fossils, rocks, birds and animals in the Wyoming land he dearly loved. He spent nearly every day outside. Tom was also an artist. Works given to many loved ones were framed and hung, even those showing his unique sense of humor. Tom worked as a cook in several Casper and Glenrock restaurants. He was known as the best cook in town. He won many awards with his green and red chili, one of his favorite dishes. Tom was preceded by his father, mother, and two brothers, Max Chapman of Wilsonville, OR and Burly Chapman of Washington, PA. Tom is survived by his long time partner, Sharron L. Pressler of Casper, daughters, Kelly Chapman and Amber McEachern of Casper, Beth and Becky Chapman of New York and son Jamie of Ohio, brother, Ronald (Dianne) Chapman of Charlevoix, MI, sisters-in-law, Donna Chapman of Washington, PA and Carol Hargadine-Chapman of Wilsonville, OR. Also surviving and loved dearly are his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him and enjoyed his laugh and humor.
