Thomas Maxwell Brown Jr., also referred to as “Tommy”, was the son of Carol and Thomas Brown Sr. and was born on January 26th, 1971, in Wasco, CA. He grew up in Shafter, CA where he attended school and joined the U.S. Marine Corps in November of 1995. In the Marines, he was an F-18 hydraulic mechanic and instructor stationed in San Diego, CA. He was deployed four times on multiple Naval vessels. Through the duties he served he was able to explore many countries such as Iwakuni, Japan (stationed three years), Australia, UAE, Singapore, and many others. Thomas retired from the USMC in May of 2016. Serving twenty years in his beloved Marine Corps. was one of the greatest honors of his life.
In July of 2020, Thomas retired to Casper, WY where he discovered a beautiful piece of America that he so loved and promised to never leave. He attended Casper College where he certified in mechanic hydraulics. Through his career in the military, Thomas did a lot of schooling, where he discovered prowess in mechanics. He very much enjoyed helping others to learn about his passion.
Thomas quietly departed this life on December 18th, 2023, in Casper, WY. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Sr. He is survived by his mother Carol Brown, his two sisters Michelle Brown Soren and Janice Young, and his daughter Megan Brown.
A service with military honors will be held on Friday, January 5, 2023 at 2:00pm at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery.
