Theresa Catherine

Theresa Catherine Martin (Weir), 87, died peacefully on August 26, 2015 in her son Frank Martin's home in Casper Wyoming after a brief struggle with cancer. Theresa was born August 30, 1927 at home in St. Charles Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Anna Kys Wisniewski. She was baptized at St. Mary's Catholic Church and given the Christian name of Mary. Theresa attended Reyonald's grade school and graduated from St. Charles High in 1946. The day after her graduation she took a greyhound bus to Saginaw Michigan and was hired the same day with the Saginaw county courthouse where she worked for many years doing clerical work in the circuit courts. Shortly after starting work in Saginaw Theresa met and married her husband Frank W. Martin in 1949. They lived in St. Charles where they raised three sons, Allen, Frank and Kevin Martin. In addition to raising their three children she also helped her husband run a family nursery business. Theresa and Frank lived happily together for 30 years until his death in 1979. With the loss of her husband Theresa moved to Chicago Illinois a few years later where she met and married her second husband Bob Weir in 1998. After Bob's passing she chose to move closer to her family and loved ones. While in Casper Wyoming she enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren. Family was Theresa's passion and delight. She will always be remembered for her unending love and devotion to her 6 grandchildren (Nicole, Kyle, Kristin, Melissa, Kendra and Jacob) and 5 great-grandchildren (Corra, Beckett, Brice, Brynlynn and Henry) Theresa is survived by her sister Eleanor Lazowski; brothers Frank and Eugene Wisniewski; Sons; Grandchildren; Great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives and close friends. Family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life.
