Terence Johnson

Terence "Terry" Johnson, 75 years of age, was born on June 18, 1938 in Denver, CO to his parents Lorna and Arch Johnson. He died May 4, 2014, from cardiac complications at Wyoming Medical Center. Terry was an avid book reader, a devout prayerful man, and fly-fisherman. He was known for his great sense of humor, patience, and pleasant disposition. He often made nicknames for those he loved, such as "Molly Magpie" for his daughter, Renae. He loved the Big Horn Mountains, especially fishing with his "Pride and Joy" son, Mike. He found the love of his life, Janice, in 1990, and after a long engagement they were married in the Roman Catholic Church on December 28, 1995. Terry and Janice had a cabin in Story, WY, which was his favorite place to spend as much time as possible, especially during the summers. Terry loved his Catholic faith and attended Catholic schools, which included Regis Jesuit High School in Denver, CO. He never missed Sunday Mass or Holy Days of Obligation except for when he was seriously ill. Terry loved dogs, especially his newly rescued deaf dog, Beckham, which he and Janice adopted only 11 months ago. Terry had many health issues over the past 10 years, including numerous surgeries. One priest nick-named him "Nine Lives Johnson". God must have wanted him home this time. Terry is survived by three daughters, Kathi Cragoe Johnson, Renae Vigneri (Joe), and Sheri Byrne (Jim); as well as one son, Michael Johnson (Denice); nine grandchildren, Colleen, Steven, and Michelle Cragoe, Katy and Keifer Balcerzak, Ashley, Jasmine, and James Byrne, and Sara Vigneri; two great-grandchildren, Zach Cragoe and Allie Timothy; one precious dog, Beckham Johnson; and the love of his life, his wife, Janice Johnson. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, can be submitted to True Care, Casper Humane Society, and/or Meals on Wheels.
