Tera Shawn Gillett, born in Worland, Wyoming February 15, 1964, passed peacefully in her sleep, January 1, 2018. Tera lived a life of giving. She graduated from Natrona County High School in 1982 and from the University of Wyoming in 1986 and 1988 with degrees in Psychology and Social Work. Tera was also certified as a National Professional Bereavement Facilitator. Early on, Tera worked as a social worker at Westward Heights Nursing Home and then as a case manager for MAXIMUS in Lander, Wyoming. Tera then returned to Casper where she devoted 22 years to caring for hospice patients and their families at Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions, as a Bereavement Coordinator, Outpatient Manager and finally, Director of Clinical Services. In her most recent position, Tera worked as a Regional Ombudsman with Wyoming Senior Citizens, where she served as a mediator and consultant to improve the care of senior citizens, veterans and long-term-care residents. In addition to her work and family, Tera was passionate about animals and the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, camping and rock hunting, particularly when shared with her best friend, Robyn. She loved all animals and especially, her numerous cat rescues. Tera is preceded in death by her twin sister, Tena, her older brother, Kelly, and her father, Paul Gillett. Tera is survived by her mother, Joan Gillett of Casper, Wyoming; her younger brother Ryan Gillett and Geo Kennah of Billings, Montana; her older sister Stacy Gillett Coyle and Adam Coyle of Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is also survived by her nephews Paul Eugene and Kelly Bryce Gillett, and Amalia and Jackson Coyle. Services will be held at Bustard's Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2018, followed by a reception at the Bustard's gathering hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tera's name to the Casper Humane Society. .
