Sylvia Beavis

Sylvia Mae Beavis (Howes), 66, of Wright, Wyoming passed away on February 27, 2021 of natural causes.  Sylvia was born July 15, 1954 in Kodiak, Alaska and moved at a young age to Elkton, Maryland where she attended school.  She obtained her registered nursing degree from Wilmington School of Nursing in 1975.  In 1976, Sylvia married Randy Beavis where they resided in Bremerton, Washington and Butte, Montana before settling in Wright, Wyoming.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Howes and Bessie Howes, and her Brother-in-Law, Bud Lewis.  Sylvia is survived by her lifelong husband, Randy Beavis, her son, Charlie Beavis (Megan), her daughter Pamela Ayers (Jase), her four grandchildren, Cody Beavis, Josie Beavis, Albert Tycho Ayers, James Rigel Ayers, and her sister, Sherry Lewis.

Sylvia enjoyed life outdoors going camping, boating, fishing, and roasting marshmallows by the campfire. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She lived a life serving others through nursing, teaching, Girl Scouts, and volunteering for school events. She was not one to sit around and wait for life to happen, she charged forward and created lasting memories her family and friends will cherish forever.

The family has decided not to hold any memorial services to protect those they love from the ongoing pandemic.  In leu of flowers the family is requesting donations in Sylvia’s name to St. Judes Children’s hospital.
