Suzanne "Suzy" L. Schofield left this life on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions due to complications from cerebral palsy and aspiration pneumonia. Suzanne was the first child born to Martin L and Edith M Schofield on May 3, 1949 in Midland, South Dakota. She was homeschooled by her mother. In 1968 the family relocated to Evansville, Wyoming. She worked at Felgoodies for many years proudly receiving the honor of Employee of the Year in 2009 just prior to her retirement. Suzanne lived her life as a Lutheran with strong faith and love for her Prince of Peace church family. Suzanne had a zest for life and a smile for everyone she met, never meeting a stranger. She believed in being a friend and held on to those relationships all her life. Of her many loves, celebrating with her family and friends was her favorite. She loved beating anyone who would play her in Sorry, writing and delivering letters to Santa and celebrating all holidays. She was entertained by "I love Lucy", Little House on the Prairie and Hee Haw. She loved fried chicken, plain M&M's and ice cream. Suzanne is survived by her loving and dedicated mother, Edith M Schofield, her brother, Marvin Schofield (Lucy), her sister Brenda J Balben and brother James M Schofield. She is the proud aunt to 3 generations of nieces and nephews. She is also loved and cared for by a host of extended family and friends both near and far. Suzanne was preceded in death by her father, Martin L Schofield, her brother George K Schofield and brother in law Walter W Balben. The family will host a viewing at Bustard's Funeral Home on Friday March 9th from 6p-8p. Services will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Saturday March 10th at 3pm with Pastor Mike Struck officiating. Suzanne will be laid to rest with her hero; her daddio, Martin L. Schofield; at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Suzanne L Schofield Memorial Fund to benefit the youth of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
