Steven Heady

July 3, 1970 — November 14, 2014

Steven Douglas Heady was born July 3, 1970, in Casper, Wyoming, to Cathy Williamson Heady and Gary Heady. He was welcomed home and greatly loved by his big sister, Michelle Heady, whom he always loved and admired. In 1972, he got a little brother, Adam Heady, born to Kathleen Rideout Heady and Gary Heady. Michelle mothered her little brothers at every opportunity. A few years later, Steven welcomed an older stepsister, Leslie Kym Heady, and a younger stepbrother, Matt Johnson, from his father's marriage to Mary Richlin Heady. They were all good friends as well as being siblings. He also acquired his adored little sister, Laura Robinson, from his mother and stepfather, Robbie Robinson. Steven always said that he could not have had a better stepfather than Robbie. When Steven was very small, he and Michelle and his mother moved to Colorado Springs. Steven attended schools in Colorado Springs and in Casper. He spent a lot of time with his maternal grandmother, Esther (Eddie) Williamson, in Casper, and she was Steven's biggest fan. When Steven reached adulthood, he returned to Casper and lived here for the rest of his life. After he came back, he lived with his beloved Grandma Eddie, and later with his brother, Adam. At one time he was roommates with Jimmy and Cindy Macias, who remained among his closest friends. Steven worked in construction, in pawn shops, and in the bar business. He played sports in high school, excelling at hockey, and he was a good skier. He was very social, and made friends wherever he went. His fun personality and sense of humor made everyone love Steven. All kids flocked to Steven, and he was the favorite uncle. He was kind and generous and handsome and helpful and loyal and sweet. He had many, many friends and girlfriends, and he will be missed greatly. He was predeceased by his Grandma Eddie. His survivors are his mother and stepfather, Cathy and Robbie Robinson; father and stepmother, Gary and Marj Heady; stepmother, Kathy Rideout; great aunt, Virginia (Angel) Nelson; sister, Michelle Frank; stepsister, Kym Baird; stepbrother, Matt Johnson; half-brother, Adam Heady; half-sister, Laura Vegors; and their families; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Steven died suddenly of a heart attack on Friday, November 14, 2014, at his Casper home. Three of his friends were with him when he died, and it is a comfort to the family that he was not alone. Steven was loved and will be missed. His friends will be celebrating his life at the Bryan Stock Trail VFW on Saturday, November 22, 2014, .at two o'clock p.m.
