Stella Johnston

Stella Irene Johnston passed away on December 30, 2020 at Life Care Center.  She was 96 years old.  There will be graveside services at Highland Park Cemetery on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 2:00 P.M.  She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church.  Stella was born in Oelrichs, South Dakota.  She grew up on a ranch in South Dakota.  She married Don Johnston in 1946.  Shortly after they married they homesteaded in Alaska where they stayed until they moved to Casper in 1953.  She had two sons, Don Jr. and Steve.  They operated a small grocery store, had rental apartments and ranched west of Casper.  She was a hard worker.  She enjoyed painting and photography.  She was a member of the Izaak Walton League as well as other organizations.  She was loved and will be missed.
