Stella Cook

Stella Lou "Mandros" Cook, age 75, passed away on August 9, 2018 in Casper, Wyoming. Stella was born September 6, 1942, as the daughter of Sam Mandros and Edith McFarland Mandros in Rock River, Wyoming. The family moved to Green River when she was one year of age. She graduated in 1960 at Green River High School. In 1961, she worked at Little America where she met and then married Terry Fisher who was in the Navy. They moved to San Diego, California where their first daughter Sherry Fisher was born. They then transferred to Seattle, Washington where their second daughter, Kathy Fisher was born. The family moved to Utah, Montana, and finally to Denver, Colorado where she began her 40 year career in accounting and payroll. Terry and Stella divorced in 1978. In 1998 Stella moved to Green River, Wyoming where she met and married the love of her life Dwain "Homer"Cook. They planned to retire in June 2008 to travel the United States. Unfortunately, Homer passed away in April of 2008. She moved back to Wyoming to be with her family in July of 2008 and worked at Hobby Lobby until her retirement in 2014. Stella's hobbies included doing floral arrangements, reading, puzzles and playing cards. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by daughters, Sharon (Sherry) Fisher, Kathy Moss (Wayne), brothers, John Mandros (Roberta), Gus Mandros (Norma), grandsons, Conrad Stephens of Colorado, Austin Clark, and Tyler Clark of Casper, Wyoming; great grandchildren, Riley and Reagan Stephens both of Denver, Colorado and Brynlee Clark of Casper, Wyoming and various stepchildren, grandchildren; great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Stella is preceded in death by her husband, Dwain "Homer" Cook; parents, Sam and Edith Mandros; brother, Lloyd Waters; sisters, Betty Anderson, Lois Mullens, and twin sister, Della Mosely. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Bustard's Funeral Home in Casper with Pastor Tim Adams Officiating.
