Starla D. Humecky was born on October 5, 1967 in Bakersfield, CA. She passed on March 6, 2025 in Denver. CO. She was the baby of 1O children born to Bill and Nellie Napier. She grew up in Bakersfield. When she was 21 she met the love of her life Pat Humecky. She hit his Mustang with her car and he gave her the option of a date or calling the police. The rest is history. Starla and Pat were married on June 24, 1989. Starla worked several different jobs, however her most important job was being a military wife and mother. They moved around a lot. They started in Tennessee, back to California, then Louisiana. In April of 1996 they welcomed their first daughter Kaylyn. Pats military career then took them to Kentucky. Soon after the family was stationed in Germany. In April of 2000 they welcomed the first boy into the family. Shelby. In April of 2003, Takenya was born to complete the family. They continued moving around before finally settling in Casper in 2013. Starla loved playing cards and games, doing things for veterans. However the thing that brought her the most joy was her granddaughter, Avelina. Starla made sure she video called her several times a week.
Starla is preceded in death by both her parents, Bill and Nellie. Siblings Thomas, Anita, Glenna, Shelia. She is survived by her husband of 36 years Pat, children, Kaylyn (Vince) Boice, Shelby, and Takenya. Granddaughter Avelina. Her bonus daughter, Heaven. Siblings, Carl, Billy, Karen, Roger, and Nina. We can't forget her fur baby Chappy.
Services will be held at Bustards Funeral Home on Monday March 17, 2025 at 10 a.m., with a Visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Wyoming Veterans Cemetery located in Evansville, WY.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Combat Veterans Motorcycle Associations 36- 1, in Starla's name.
