Sonny Shepperson

Memorial Services for Sonny R. Shepperson, 44, of Casper, WY will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Bustard's Funeral Home which will include a gathering to celebrate Sonny's life. Sonny moved onto his next journey, in the comfort of his home on October 18th 2016. The last three years battling cancer, he has shown us new meaning to the words strength, courage, and perseverance. Sonny will be deeply missed by his family; his wife, Melanie; their two sons Joseph and Riley Shepperson; as well as Krysta and Chaos Shepperson and his daughter; mother, Stephanie Shepperson; Sister, Leah Gomez and her daughter Jaelyn; Grandmother, Joyce Keeter "Nonny"; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Sonny will be missed by many close friends, co-workers from Miller Insulation, and all who knew him. He had a great sense of humor, always making jokes, the "circle", point and laugh Fridays. He did get quite good at magic tricks, sometimes so good, that you would ask to see it again and again. Sonny loved playing music and shredding the guitar, he would play so loud, that all the windows in the house would vibrate, and the pictures would fall off the walls. He was a talented artist, drawing, painting from his heart, using that as an outlet to escape the illness. He loved hosting poker parties; I don't know what he liked more, playing the cards or taking people's money. He had a passion for food; cooking, and creating those one of a kind, Sonny's special recipes. We will have a void at family barbeques, green chili nights, and we will miss out on those out of the blue cooking challenges. When Sonny would order a burger, it had to be custom built. Every time the waitress would have to flip to the next page to get all the stuff that's on the crazy thing. Sonny was outgoing, loved California beaches, fast rollercoasters and family vacations. When we think of him, I know that we will remember his wonderful smile and his one of a kind laugh. Sonny said he had a good life because of the family he had, and the great friends we shared. Many fun filled memories that will not fade. A little bit of sunshine, and little bit of rain. Sonny, I want to thank you for being such a genuine person. We are all honored to have known you, and truly blessed that we had the chance to love you. We love you so very much Sonny! You will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts.
