Solomon Tegenu

July 30, 1985 — February 2, 2025

Casper

It is with great sadness that the family of Solomon Tegenu announces his unexpected passing on February 2, 2025. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Solomon was born July 30, 1985 to Ray and Laura Tegenu, and raised in Casper, Wyoming with his three older sisters. You would find him exploring the town on his bike, playing baseball, catching salamanders, and hanging out with his friends in the spillways. He graduated High School at 16, with a full-ride scholarship, attended Casper College then went on to Northridge University in California. His education journey ended at the University of Wyoming.

Solomon carried a bright light, enjoyed seeing people smile, and a little friendly competition. He would use board games to bring family, friends, or new groups of folks together. He immediately brought up the energy in a room and always had a wild story to share. If you were on the phone with him while he walked on campus, or to the store you would hear him giving a sincere compliment to the people on the street. Solomon loved people & animals and would help anyone in need whether it was providing a jacket, shirt, a pair of shoes, sharing a meal, or just a place to stay. Sol would give anything he had available at the time even when he didn't have much. All he wanted was to share God's Love and that Love will be carried on in the lives he touched.

Solomon is survived by his Mother Laura (Chris) Harmon, Father Ray Tegenu, siblings Ricco (Angela) Martinez, Liv Tegenu, Meseret Tegenu, Almaz Tegenu, nephews Dante Allison, Antonio and Carlos Martinez, nieces Aniya Scott and Elena Martinez, aunts, uncles, and many cousins. He is now reunited with family members Grandparents Liv & Vern Halvorson, Elmer & Brenda Bjorlie, Yeshi Woldiyez & Raya Robi, Uncle Peter Bjorlie, Aunt Tegetu Raya, and so many good friends.
