Shirley Spencer

John 16:22 "Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you. Our mother, Grandma, GG, sister and friend, Shirley J. Spencer, of Mills WY, on the eve of Friday, October 19th, 2018 was healed by our Lord of her illnesses and reunited in heaven, to the love of her life, Eugene(Gene) Welfel. Shirley was born June 21st, 1941 in Sayre, PA, born fourth of ten children to John and Olive Brewer. Shirley retired from Borg-Warner/Emerson of Ithaca, NY. After many years of traveling and visiting her children and many family members throughout this nation, she made Mills, Casper area her home. We love you!!!! Besides spending time with her family and traveling, she loved an adventure, laughing, reading novels, garage/yard sale shopping and cooking. She would always answer with loving honesty, a TRUE friend, called "mom" by many and unselfishly sacrificed much for the ones who called in need. Shirley, beloved mother (mom) is survived by her sons: Brian of Texas, Bruce(Cheryl) of Wyoming, Ben(Patricia) of Arizona and her daughters: Brenda of WV, Barbara (Jerry) Baggs of Kentucky, Bonita (d. Lynn) Hebb of Texas, Step-sons Eugene, Scott and Chris Welfel; "Shirl" Sister to Dorothy (d. Francis) Casslebury, James (Sadie) Brewer, Paul (Betsy) Brewer, Gloria(Dan) Rose, Carl (Norma)Brewer, Cora (d. Ray) Arnold and Earl Brewer. Also known and loved as Grandma Shirley, Grandma and GG by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren. She was also blessed with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews. Shirley was preceded by her husband Gene, father John Brewer, beloved mother Olive Brewer, brother John(Jackie)Brewer, and sister Sarah Welfel. Cremation has already taken place at Bustard's. A Celebration of Life is currently scheduled for Sat., Nov.17th at 860 Fulton Dr., Mills, WY 82644. Please call (979) 775-8065 and leave a message with questions and contact information. Arrangements are forth coming for Shirley to be laid to rest beside Gene in Dryden, NY in the Spring of 2019.
