Internment will be at the Highland Cemetery, and a reception will follow back at Prince of Peace.
Sheryl, of Casper, Wyoming, moved on to her new home in heaven on August 24, 2024. She was born on December 1, 1956 to Helen (Heagney) and Chester Brock. She was the oldest of three children with all of the responsibility that comes with it, she spent a lot of time out at the ranch learning about hard work and dedication, and she survived a bone disease that caused her to be hospitalized at 6 years old. These events helped shape her with strength and humility.
Sheryl graduated from Natrona County High School in 1975. She worked at Bi-Rite for a while and then at First Interstate Bank as a teller, where she met many wonderful people. One of her biggest goals was to be a mother, but she waited until she married the love of her life, John Kadlick, in 1991. In that marriage, she became not only a mother, but also a grandma, and loved her stepkids and grandkids all the same. They then welcomed a child together, Carly, in 1993.
Sheryl was a loving and devoted mother to her own child and served as a mother figure for many others over the years, always opening her arms with kindness, love, and no judgment. When her daughter started middle school, she began to work with students as a classified substitute, or teacher's aide, in the school district. She had a passion for helping kids with disabilities in FLS and ILS rooms and fell in love with her job, only retiring in order to better care for her precious grandbabies.
She was preceded in death by her father, Chester Brock, in 2018, and her mother, Helen Heagney, in 2000. She is survived by her husband, John Kadlick; her sister, Vicki (Brock) Carpenter, husband Dale, and their children and grandchildren; her brother, Ron Brock, wife Robin, and their children and grandchildren; her daughter, Carly (Kadlick) Bruntmyer, her husband Justin, and their children, Emi and Emberly; her stepdaughter Kelly (Kadlick) Matthews, husband David, and their children and grandchildren; her stepson Shawn Kadlick, his partner Michelle, and their children; and her stepdaughter Tammy Dominguez and her children and grandchildren.
Sheryl truly had a big heart and could easily care for anyone she came in contact with. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her, and will not be forgotten.
