Sherryl J. Chapman, 70 years old, daughter of Floyd and Shirley Widmer of Waltman, Wyoming, went home to be with the Lord, February 21st at the Wyoming Medical Center. Sherryl loved her family and got the biggest kick out of her great grandkids as of late. Because she was bedridden the last three years, she looked forward to the days they came to visit and always had the cutest stories to tell when they'd leave and I'd come to clean. They made her very happy. She will be greatly missed by all her loved ones. She loved fishing when she was still able to do it and going to the lake even if just sitting and watching. We loved taking random road trips and going all over the place taking pictures where ever we went. She was an avid reader, reading hundreds of books, so that it was hard to keep up with books for her to read. Her favorite was mysteries and she loved the old time English mysteries the best, Hercule Poirot, Agatha Christie, Ellery Queen, and Sherlock Homes was her favorite. She always wanted to be a detective. She was very detail-oriented, she'd watch a show and she would pick out things that no one else ever noticed. She would have made a great detective. She loved Jimmy Buffet, Yanni, and David Allan Coe, but her all time love was Spanish music. She used to get so excited every time she heard Spanish music, she said there is just something so beautiful about it. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Widmer; her two brothers, Perry (Cindy) Hanson and Bruce Hanson; and six sisters, Carolejo (Martin) Wood, Connie Gray, Penny (George) McKim of Brighton, Colorado, Marcia (Don) Rieke, Thea (Steve) Smith, and Tracey Sve, all of Casper. She is survived by her two daughters, Amber Sparks and Kelly Chapman, of Casper; their kids, Kearney Sears, of Casper, Kristen Diede of Billings, Eric Chapman, and Brittany Chapman; and her great grandchildren, Elise Chapman, Sofie Chapman, Tyler Sears, Ricky Rose, Jaylee Stamper, Mae Lynn Stamper, Deglen Stamper, all of Casper, and Daniel and Allison Diede of Billings. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Chapman; her father, Floyd Widmer; and her two brothers, Clyde Lee Hanson of Powder River, and Neil Hanson of Glenrock. Now she is reunited with them and Jesus. We love you Sherryl and never knew how much until you left us and left a hole in our hearts... A Celebration Luncheon and Potluck will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Casper on March 11th at 3:00pm.
