Shauna Lynn (Stroud) Vigil, 44, Douglas, WY Shauna passed away unexpectedly from cancer on Monday, October 24, 2011 at WMC in Casper, WY. She went to walk with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Shauna was born on September 17, 1967 in Torrington, WY to Donna Estes and Jerry Stroud. She attended grade school in Torrington and moved to Douglas, WY in 1978 with her family. Shauna attended junior high where she met the love of her life, Michael (Mike) Vigil, Jr. She graduated from Douglas High School in 1986. Shauna and Mike were married in October 1985. They had one daughter, Brittany Faye Vigil, in 1986. As a new family they went to the University of Wyoming in Laramie, where Shauna received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Business in 1992. She used her knowledge and accounting skills to assist with building the family's trucking company. Shauna was family oriented to the core, a friend to many that adored little children. She loved to travel (especially to the Hawaiian islands), watch wrestling of all kinds, create stained glass items, and cook gourmet meals. The recent highlight of her life was preparing for her first grandchild who is due in December 2011. She is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years, Michael Vigil, Jr. of Douglas, WY, their daughter, Brittany (Travis) Mortimore of Douglas, WY, her parents Jerry and Donna Stroud of Cheyenne, WY, brother Scott (Robyn) Stroud of Florida, grandmother Mary Stroud, brother-in-law's, Matt (Megan) Vigil, Marshall (Kelly) Vigil of Casper, WY and sister-in-law, Michelle (Parley) Pierce of Gillette, WY, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and her Pomeranian Haleiwa (Hali). She is preceded in death by her grandparents Rose and Fay Estes and Homer Stroud. Instead of flowers, the family requests that you donate to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church, 209 South 4th Street, Douglas, WY. Casual Hawaiian attire is requested.
