Sara Lynn Cameron was born on May 19, 1935 in Denver, CO in the Florence Crittenton Home. She was then moved to Colorado Children’s home. She was adopted by Arch and Sybil Kindred in November of 1935. The family moved to Estes Park, Colorado where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from Estes Park High School in 1952.
Lynn, as she preferred to be called, went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado and graduated in 1956, majoring in Physical Education, with a minor in math and health.
Lynn taught in a high school in Avenal, California for one year. Lynn married Jack Cameron in Estes Park, Colorado on June 29, 1957.
After they were married, Lynn taught in Evans, Colorado in the high school for one year. Jack was in the Marines and Lynn became a homemaker. In January of 1959, her daughter Perri was born in Pensacola, Florida on the marine base. They lived in Quantico, Virginia, Pensacola, Florida, Brunswick, Georgia, and Beaufort, South Carolina.
At the end of the enlistment, the family moved back to Boulder, Colorado where her husband returned to work with the US Forest Service. They were transferred to Ft. Collins, Colorado, where two sons Scott and Craig were born. Again, the family was transferred to Worland, Wyoming and then about five years later were transferred to Sundance, Wyoming. Her daughter Perri graduated from Sundance High School in 1977.
Lynn and Jack divorced in 1975 and Lynn moved to Casper, Wyoming where Scott and Craig graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1981 and 1982.
Lynn worked for the Wyoming Girl Scout Council for 31 years. Lynn also worked part time for One Call of Wyoming and the Casper Star Tribune well into her 70’s. She did finally stop working and had a lot of time to relax and enjoy her family. Her favorite hobbies were reading, watching mystery movies/tv shows, watching I Love Lucy reruns and spending time with her family. She also loved going to the Big Horn mountains to spend time in the cabin that she and her sons built. She was the combination of toughness and compassionate in everything she did.

(Arlene) Cameron of Folsom, California, three grandchildren, Drew W. Shutts (fiancé Holly Tysse) of Casper, Sara C. Johnson (Scott) of Casper, Zachary J.
