Samuel Densul Lindemuth, 84, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at his home in Evansville, WY. Born Feb 23rd, 1932 at Warsaw Township, Jefferson county, Pennsylvania he was the son of Lester Lindemuth and Ethel Emma Miller. He is survived by his Sister, Nola Bush (Lindemuth) and husband Spencer Bush of Hazen, PA; Son, Jeffery Lindemuth of Grassflat, PA; Daughters, Brenda Jo Mayhue of Bellwood, PA, Jodi Fenush and Tony Fenush of Grassflat, PA; Grandson, Travis Fenush of Grassflat, PA; Sister in law, Jean Lindemuth of New York; Many nieces and nephews and the caring and supportive neighbors around his home in Evansville, WY. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara Ann Lindemuth; Mother, Ethel Emma (Miller) Lindemuth; Father, Lester Hasson Lindemuth; Sisters, Nancy Lindemuth, Evelyn B. Gearhart (Lindemuth), Norma Shearer (Lindemuth), Lillian Weaver (Lindemuth); and Brother, Albert Lindemuth. Sam Graduated Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1955. He worked as a structural engineer for General Dynamics and was responsible for the structural integrity of Atlas Centaur at Complex 36A and 36B including the missile during checkout before launch in Cape Canaveral, FL. He also has written several checkout procedures for the Apollo Space Craft program and served an integral part as the Senior Flight Engineer in the Apollo 11 mission to the moon while working with NASA. Sam also held a patent for the invention of temperature compensator for gas meters while working with the Rockwell Manufacturing Co. He moved to the Casper, Wyoming area in 1977 where he designed and installed gas processing equipment for several of the companies in the Rocky Mountain area he was a very experienced and well qualified engineer. Barb and Sam thoroughly enjoyed the many adventure of life including many deep sea fishing adventures in the boat that Sam built. Sam and Barb both caught record setting Red Snappers Barb's weighed in at 32 pounds and Sam's weighed in at 42 pounds. Sam always stated that Barb was the better fisher as she would usually have one on the hook as soon as she dropped it in to the water. They also greatly enjoyed the vast outdoors of Wyoming where Sam and Barb regularly went horseback riding, hunting, and fishing. After Barbs passing in 1995, Sam stayed busy designing and building many projects including his own garage, many long range rifles that were highly accurate, and even a '79 custom Chevy pick-up. Sam was a very intelligent, creative, and determined man who always engineered a way to complete a task. At Sam's request there will be no services held. Sam and Barb will forever be together enjoying the beautiful view of the Grand Tetons from a Butte in the Jackson Hole Valley, Wyoming.
