Ruth Schreiber

Ruth Marie Schreiber, 93, of Glenrock, Wy, passed away March 5th,2017 at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, Wy. Ruth was born on September 16, 1923 in Brighton, Michigan, to Leonard Brown and Mary Elisa Jones, She was fourth in a family of six. Ruth lived in Michigan until 1952 when her husband, Richard Schreiber, moved the family to Arizona. Eventually, Ruth settled in Glenrock, Wy. Ruth loved animals, always having a warm bowl of cream handy for the family pets. Cream derived from milking her pet cows. She worked in Glenrock School District and Glenrock Senior Center, later volunteering with Glenrock Senior Center. She was proceeded in death by her parents, siblings (she was the last surviving), her husband Richard, great-grandson, Wyatt Wambeke, and her son Paul Schrieber. Ruth was a loving mother who is survived by husband, Cal Lawton, her three daughters; Nickie Morgan (Michael) of Greenwood, Ar; Renee Wilkerson ( Robert) of Powell, Wy; Leah McVay (Robin) of Casper, Wy. Thirteen grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. After cremation, Ruth will be buried in a private ceremony in Lovell,Wy. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Bustard's Funeral Directors and Crematory, 600 CY Ave, Casper, Wy 82601.
