April 29, 1939 — January 10, 2019

Ruthie Gene Propp Casper, Wyoming / April 29, 1939 - January 10, 2019 Ruthie Gene Propp, 79, passed away peacefully at the Wyoming Medical Center surrounded by loving friends and family. Ruthie was born in Thermopolis, Wyoming, to Eugene and Ruth (Porter) Clegg. She moved to Casper as a young girl, graduating from N.C.H.S. in 1957. She married her lifelong love, Steve on July 8, 1961 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Ruthie began her career working in banking for seven years. She then spent ten years in commercial building before joining Kerr McGee/Rio Algom Mining Company. She semi-retired in 2001 after 25 years of service. After her retirement she worked part time at the Casper Country Club and Paradise Valley Golf Club. She was an active community member throughout her life. She particularly enjoyed volunteering in all of her son Mike's sports programs during his athletic years. She enjoyed ceramics, decorating, and scrapbooking. Ruthie adored Christmas, handcrafting and collecting decorations to create an amazing Christmas Wonderland in her home for all to share each year. She loved all holidays and even created a few. Ruthie also enjoyed travel. Her love of road trips began with her first car, a green '47 Chevy and continued throughout her life. She was a dedicated adventurer. Ruthie always devoted herself to her family and friends. Her unique gift was her selfless determination to make things special for everyone in her life. She loved to cook and entertain and was truly incredible in these pursuits. Full of life, love and laughter, Ruthie was generous, fiercely loyal, kind, driven, highly organized, and committed to excellence. She deeply touched all who knew her and will be missed beyond measure. Ruthie was active at St. Mark's Episcopal Church during her young life, where she taught Sunday school. As her life progressed, her personal relationship with God deepened. Although she had been baptized as a young girl, she recommitted her life to Christ with her whole heart in a baptismal ceremony in Arizona on October 13, 1996. Her faith in Christ continued to grow until the day God called her home. Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Kathrine Propp O'Keefe, her sister, Sally Edgeington, her beloved Aunt Mary Porter and her step-father, Jake Gagliardi.
