Ruby M. Lund was a resident of Maurice Griffith Manor where she lived for over 7 years. Ruby was grateful for the special friendships and love she experienced there. Ruby was a woman of faith, a prayer warrior, and a "joy promoter". She made lemonade from lemons in her life and she had no time for "negative stuff". Ruby was born in Reeder, North Dakota and graduated high school in Bowman, North Dakota. She worked for the Spokesman Review newspaper in Spokane, Washington. She married John W. Lund in Sidney, Montana on December 27, 1947. Most of her life she was a homemaker and a mother. Ruby supported her two kids who were active in Cub Scouts, Campfire Girls, 4-H Club and with many volunteer hours teaching children through the Latter Day Saints Church. Later in life, Ruby served as the head of the nursery at the First Christian Church for over 12 years. She helped her husband, John W. (Bill) Lund, with secretarial duties in his insurance work. Ruby enjoyed her family, gardening, art, remaking things and working with children. She loved nature and the study of health and nutrition. Ruby was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence E. Wyatt at age 4; her mother, Beaulah Maude (Finch) Wyatt at age 43; her father, Everett Eugene Wyatt at age 65; her brother, Vernon Wyatt at age 42 (all who are in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Reeder, North Dakota); and her husband, John William (Bill) Lund at age 85. Bill and Ruby were married for 64 ½ years. Ruby is survived by her two children, Cheryl K. (Lund) Penny of Casper, Wyoming and John A. (Jack) Lund of Denver, Colorado; two grandchildren, David A. McKenzie, Jr. (& his wife Patricia J. McKenzie) of Casper, Wyoming, and Ann C. McKenzie of Panama; one great-grandson, Alexander Kenneth William McKenzie of Casper, Wyoming, and extended family and friends. Ruby will be placed with her husband, Bill, in the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery in Casper, Wyoming. A celebration of life and balloon release with her family will occur this July 07, 2019 on Ruby's birthday. Ruby would say, "Make someone smile!" and "Reframe negative situations."
