Roscoe Dockham

Roscoe (Doc) Owen Dockham, age 82, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 in Casper, Wyoming. He was born on January 6, 1937 to Roscoe F. Dockham and Geraldine E. Gilstrap. On December 2, 1960 he married Dorothy Jean Metcalf. Roscoe (Doc) made a living as a Inside Journeyman Wireman and 55 + years as a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local #322 where he served 12 years as president. He loved to travel for work and criss crossed the states working in Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Washington, Oregon, Kentucky, Ohio, Colorado and probably a few others. After retirement Roscoe had no trouble keeping busy. He spent many hours in his man-cave working with wood, always up early to have coffee with friends and could be found on Pathfinder fishing with the members of the "5 R fishing club several days a week. He also found time to volunteer as a driver for the DAV from Sept. 2, 1998 to May 23, 2012, taking Veterans to the Veteran's Hospital in Sheridan and Cheyenne for medical care, logging over 100,000 miles. He was also an active member of the Shriners participating in their fund raisers for the Children's Hospital and enjoyed driving in parades in his little model T. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Charlie Dean (Beth Lou) Dockham, Orrin Eldon (Lisa) Dockham and Tana Jane (Dockham) Maddux; grandchildren, Roscoe J. Dockham, Mandy E. Blajszczak, Cody Dockham, Kendle Rae Jeffs, Kelsie Jean Dobrenz, Matthew Maddux, Joshua Maddux, Ryan Maddux and and almost 20 great great-grandchildren. Doc is preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Jewel Dockham and Richard and Geraldine Ward, brother, Charles Young Dockham, grandson, Jesse Dean Dockham, great grandson, Isaiah Samuel Maddox, granddaughter, Tinlee Dockham, grandson, Jerry Lynn Maddux III and great grandson, Jonathan Tobias Maddux. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Bustard's Funeral Home in Casper.
