Ronald Dice

April 1, 1932 — June 12, 2016

Ronald Robert Dice died Sunday, June 12, 2016 after 84 years of living life to the fullest. Born on April 1, 1932, Ronald was imbued with a jokester spirit; he was the first to offer a chest hair transplant, and always made time to laugh at all the little things that make up life. Ronald was blessed with three rambunctious boys: Robert, Rodney, and Darrell whom he raised with his wife, Patty. He loved his boys and raised them to be compassionate, generous, and helpful, just like him. Ronald always made time for his grandchildren and taught them many life lessons. Whether it was simply brightening your day with a laugh, taking in a stray dog, or offering work and food to homeless individuals in need, Ronald never hesitated to lend a helping hand. As an accomplished outdoor athlete and competitor, Ronald enjoyed participating in triathlon's, that is when he wasn't canoeing, cycling, drag racing, shooting archery, skiing, riding trials bikes, weightlifting, and generally making everyone else look bad. Nobody could keep up with him or his impeccable sense of fashion, which always consisted of too clingy bike shorts or too baggy sweat pants, though rarely at the same time. Ronald is survived by his brother (Jerry Dice), two sons (Robert and Darrell), 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Rodney. Ronald believed in the importance of family, living life simply and fully, and seeing the humor in everything. He was a mechanical genius, a philosopher, and very well read. A scholar without a degree, Ronald succeeded at everything he attempted. In remembrance of Ronald, please take a moment to help a person in need, play a joke on your friends, or compete in a triathlon. Services will be held at Bustard's Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016. A celebration of life will immediately follow at Bear Trap Meadow on Casper Mountain. Because of his love for animals, donations can be made to Casper Humane Society in Ronald's name.
