Ronald Cook

December 7, 1949 — May 16, 2014

A celebration of life for Mr. Ronald L. Cook Jr., 64, of Casper, will be held at the Industrial Building at the Fairgrounds in Casper, WY at 11:00AM, Friday, May 30, 2014. There will be a potluck reception immediately following. Meat will be supplied, please bring a side dish. This is a casual celebration. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Pat Vogel at 418 Trigood, Casper, WY, 82609 for a Ron Cook Memorial Race to be ran in 2015. The location will be determined at a later date. Ronald was a Casper native, born December 7, 1949, to Ronald Cook Sr. and Mary Ellen Kennedy. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1968. Ronald went on to become a contractor and Professional Race Horse Trainer. He spent 32 years with his partner Bonita A. Frisby and his children from his previous marriage; Craig Lee Cook, Jerry Allen Cook, all of Casper as well as Ronald D. Cook, and Michael S. Cook, who preceded their father in death. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Chaney; 3 grandsons, Cody, Taylor, and Jason Cook; one granddaughter Courtney Cook; several nieces and nephews, Aunts, Uncles and many great friends. Ronald was a member of Local #193 Plumbers & Pipefitters, as well as President of Wyoming All Breeds Racing Association from 2007-2014. Though we may feel his life was too short, he had a life filled with great family, friends, adventures and no regrets. He made sure we all knew he loved us, he did things to make a difference in the community that he was born and raised in, and he made sure to spend some time doing things he loved such as fishing, play a little softball and of course horse racing. He truly is an example of how to enjoy each day of life. Ronald was greeted in heaven by his mother and father and 2 sons. Bustard's Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
